Now in its fourth year, the Greater Alarm Gala is becoming one of the most unique and entertaining events of its type in the greater Los Angeles area. Traditionally held under a bright, star-studded sky, the Greater Alarm Gala brings people from every neighborhood together - and collectively we all celebrate the actions of our Los Angeles City Firefighters.
They have saved us from burning buildings.
They have rescued us from traffic accidents and heart attacks.
They have died for us.
As of August 1, 2008, 254 LAFD members have died while wearing the badge.
Our Fallen Firefighter Memorial honors them. Our Museum memorializes them and the great fires and emergencies in our city's history.
And, the William Rolland Firefighter Educational Institute is now helping to educate our kids, families and seniors about fire and life safety - and there's no better cause than that.
We believe strongly in disaster preparedness and prevention. That's why your support of our gala is an annual event - and why we need your support more today than ever before.
And, each gala is not just about fund-raising. It's about having a great time. Enjoy a fantastic home-cooked menu, prepared by some of the best firefighter chefs in the city. Enjoy the entertainment - and get your photo taken with a celebrity, firefighter, or your friends. It's a night to remember, and we hope to see you there!
